Before installation

This entry concerns an older release or platform. Check the publisher’s current support information before installation.

A trial or demo download does not include a paid licence. Trial restrictions and activation requirements are set by the publisher.

What this download is for

You need an IRC server address and the connection settings used by that network. IRC is distinct from modern proprietary chat services; entering a username alone does not connect the client to every messaging platform.

Compatibility and things to check

This entry is the historical Windows 2.8.9 trial. Confirm the network's TLS and authentication requirements and the software's current support status. Avoid sharing account passwords in channels or sending credentials through an unencrypted connection.

Questions about downloads

Where does the download come from?

Direct files are downloaded through NetCloud24. Installers come from the source addresses listed in the catalogue and are passed on unchanged. Links labelled as a publisher’s page open that website.

Does downloading include a software licence?

Downloading an installer and purchasing a licence are separate actions. Free software follows its publisher’s licence; commercial software may require activation or a subscription.
